I am thrilled you have found your way to my e-folio!
My name is Melanie Bergenhagen. The past three years taught All Day Kindergarten in Phoenix, AZ. I taugt in a title One School (90% of our students are on free/reduced lunches) and majority of the population was Spanish speaking.
In addition to teaching Kindergarten, I was the Webmaster at my school and developed videos/screencasts for the district on how to implement standard based technology into classrooms. As the Webmaster, I developed and updated my school's website and did professional development for teachers to create their own classroom pages. I also taught Kindergarten tier 3 interventions twice a week after school and served on my school's discipline committee.
This summer (2011) I moved back to Minnesota and will begin teaching Kindergarten in the Dilworth-Glyendon-Felton School District in the fall. I am very excited about this new opportunity!
I really enjoy teaching in kindergarten, but would someday like to become a Technology Coach for teachers. To help me accomplish this, I am currently working on my Masters in Eductional Leadership with an emphasis in Technology.
